The US$2 billion project will include more than 1,300 hotel rooms and luxury residences, an aquarium, wedding chapel and water park. Kapolei welcomed its first hotel, the 175-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei, in September 2016. It was followed by the 180-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei, which lies on 1.2ha site within the Leihano mixed-use development, in October 2017. Owned by Kapolei Hotel Partners and managed by Western States Lodging, it has studio and two-room suites (some with balconies with ocean views). Daily cooked-to-order breakfast and Wi-Fi is included, as well as a shuttle service to Ko Olina Beach and Lagoons and White Plains Beach. It also has a gym, an outdoor pool, whirlpool, a poolside bar, lounge and a restaurant, Sprigs Grille. A 183-suite Residence Inn by Marriott is also scheduled to open in the first half of 2019.
